TSAG provides technical services and training to First Nations in Alberta in the areas of Circuit Rider Training, Asset Management, Environmental Management, Housing, Rural Addressing, Fire Safety, Information Technology, and Virtual Healthcare. Our goal is to create opportunities for First Nations people and we help to do so by delivering our services, training, mentoring, and guidance to First Nations community members.<\/span><\/p>\n organization.<\/p>\n \u2022 TSAG operates under the guidance and direction of a Chiefs Steering Committee and a Board of Directors always respecting the spirit and intent of the Treaties.<\/p>\n \u2022 TSAG currently employs approximately thirty fulltime staff comprising of water and waste water trainers, system and network analysts, civil engineers, civil engineering technologists, environmental technicians, including managerial, administrative and communications personnel.<\/p>\n \u2022 TSAG provides advisory and technical support to 47 Alberta First Nations, nine Tribal \u2022\u00a01993\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Members from Alberta\u2019s First Nations and Tribal Councils meet for the first Annual Technical Services Workshop to look into managing ongoing local planning, development and community infrastructure services within Alberta\u2019s First Nations.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a01996\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 An Advisory Review committee formed at the fourth Annual Technical Services Workshop with representatives from each of the Treaty areas in Alberta to develop a plan outlining options of how First Nations and Tribal Councils can become involved in the planning and delivery of technical services to Alberta\u2019s First Nations.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a01996\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 A technical services plan was completed and presented at Chief Summit V and a resolution was passed by the Chiefs sanctioning an Alberta First Nations<\/p>\n Technical Services Advisory Group.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a01997\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Recommendations from the Advisory Group were presented to and passed at the Chiefs Summit VI giving the Technical Services Advisory Group specific directives to gradually assume responsibility of certain technical services currently delivered by Indian and Northern Affairs Canada.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a01998\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 First Nations (Alberta) Technical Services Advisory Group was established and officially opened its doors.<\/p>\n
